Project Objective: To develop a database of site locations in Victorian waters, to a common datum.

Project Status: 73 shipwreck sites and 2 aircraft sites have been recorded and confirmed. Another 66 sites are on the working list.

Recently, a number of references to lost aircraft in Victorian waters have been examined, including 19 World War II crashes and ditches into Port Phillip Bay. These sites are currently being cross-referenced with possible sites held in our database.

There are approximately 797 shipwreck sites in Victoria of which around 191 have been confirmed over the years.
