Biography:

Takis resumed diving in 1998 after a long break since learning to SCUBA dive in the Swiss army in 1978. His strong interest in shipwrecks and their history lead him to the technical field of diving - exploring the wrecks in the Victorian Ships Graveyard.

As his diving began in caves, lakes and dams he still maintains a love for fresh water diving. So when the weather turns bad for ocean diving, he spends the weekends at Mt Gambier, South Australia, exploring the caves and sinkholes of the area.

Takis aims to further his knowledge in the field of technical diving, and also become more familiar with the tasks of researching, locating and preserving shipwrecks - thereby contributing to the maritime history of Australia.
